The PTA uses donations to fund campus enrichment projects, teacher grants for the classroom, and expand educational opportunities for our students.
Here are some of the amazing things the Luna PTA was able to do in 2020-2021 because of funds and time donated:
- Monthly staff appreciation
- Teacher grants (over $4,800 awarded)
- Playground/blacktop painting
- Granted Coach Nichols $1,300 for playground equipment
- Two ”Chalk the Walk” events
- Cup of Cheer Fundraiser
- Spirit Nights @ local restaurants
- Recognized twice by GISD Council of PTAs
- Purchased/facilitated garden bed remodel
- Provided bedding/food for chickens/Thumper
- Negotiated/facilitated school supply sales
- Purchased additional school supplies, tissues, paper towels for classrooms
- Paid for materials for Kinder/5th grade graduation
- Provided staff goodies for STAAR testing
- Coordinated/purchased goodies for classroom holiday parties
- Purchased materials for Red Ribbon Week
- Organized Reflections program
- Provided lawn signs to celebrate back to school/graduation
